15 — The houe today passed a mens
ure by which it expects to bring into
the state a number of textile mills
The bill provides that there shall
he no ad valorem taxes on textile
mills in Oklahoma but instead a
small rate of taxation on gross pro-
duction The vote on the measure of which
Acton Windle and others were au-
thors was 3d to 5 with 20 members
absent

daily reading of the Bible in the pub
