Editor of the Brstow Record
Dar Sir:
As an exservice man and mem-
ber of the local Klinkensmith post
I want to thank yoU for the nice
things you have said in your 'Drum
Major" column about the Honorable
E W Mar land who is a democratic
candidate for governor
Was just wondering if you and
and the people of Bristow knew
that through the efforts of Mr E
W Mar land in securing an or-
phans home for children of ex-
service men sho gave their lives
during the World war and those
who hate aaay !Once the end
of the war threc children from the
city of Bristow are at this time be-
ing taken care of at Ponca City in
this orphans hone
I am sure that ex-Fervice men
and friends of ex-service men who
didn't know this will be pleased to
know that our buddies who died for
our country had a friend in Mr
Mar land when he was not a can—
didate for ()Mc and in all prob-
ability at that time never expected
to be a candidate for office Per
sonallY I think that every ex-service
man and his relatives should sup-
port this great humanitarian not
only for the many good deeds lie
has Clone for the exrervice men but
for his kind treatment of his em-
oloyes end his love anta interea
