hospital Burial was in Cleo
Springs cemetery

Thursday afternoon for Benjamin
Thomas Huffman who (lied Tues-
day night in an Enid hospital
Rev Harvey Parker officiated
and burial followed in Enid ceme-
tery Huffman came to Oklahoma at
the opening of the Cherokee Strip
from eastern Kansas and settled
near Ringwood where he lived until
1899 Since then he has made his
home in Enid
Ile was a member of the United
Brethren church
Survivors are his wife 1106

Thursday morning at an Oklahoma
City hospital

Ayers of Hunter and several
nephews survive James II Leon-
ard 77 pioneer resident of the
Hunter community who died early
Saturday morning at his home
Burial was in the Hunter ceme-
tery Leonard settled on a farm two
miles north of Hunter in March
1896 and continued to reside there
until five years ago when he moved
into Hunter
His wife preceded him in death
two years ago

ficiated at funeral services Thurs-
day afternoon in Calvary Baptist
church for Sherod Vincent Noel 24
Burial was in Enid cemetery
Noel died Sunday night at his
home 417 East Maple

services for Mrs George W Nolder

day settler of Lahoma She died

Enid died Saturday at Las Vegas
N M where she was visiting at
the home of a daughter
Northeast section of Enid from
16th to 22nd streets was a part
of the homestead of Mrs Snyder

She is survived by four daugh-
ters including Mrs Cecil Harrison
of Enid two sons and a sister

given by Mrs A E Stephenson
mono-dramatist Sunday afternoon
as a feature of the Enid Madrigal
club's Christmas concert The pro-
gram will begin at 3 pm in the
Methodist Church according to
Henry Ilobart director
The club will provide musical
settings for each chapter
"A Story Fair" will open the
program with Mrs Herbert Steph-
ens and Mrs I S Harrington as
soloists
The first chapter "A Sign in the
Sky" will be given by Mrs Steph-
enson "The Wise Man and the
Star" by Cornelious will be sung
by the club with Mrs Clifton Hill
soloist Other chapters and the
musical numbers are:
Chapter II "By the Water of
Babylon" The club will sing "If
With All Your hearts" by Men-
delssohn Chapter III "For the Sake of a
Little Child" II Brooks Day's
"Sleep Holy Babe" will be sung
Chapter IV "In the Hidden Way
of Sorrow" and Chapter V "A
Pearl of Great Price" will be given
by Mrs Stephenson followed by
Gounod's "Benedictus" sung by the
club
Mrs Julia Thompson accom-
panist has chosen "Magnificate in
G Major" by Guilmant for the Of-
fertory The Madrigal Club will
close the program with "Praise
Our God Who Reigns in Heaven"
by Bach
