Post OFFICE not If1
OKLAHOMA CITY 1 OKL11110P1A
Dear Friends:
Next Tuesday December residents City will
be asked to vote for a renewal of of Oklahoma the Oklahoma Natural Gas Com-
pany franchise
This franchise is a non-exclusive permit to d business in
Oklahoma City and defines the benefits to the city o in terms of
franchise tax payments
Renewal of the franchise means a continuance of the depen-
d
able gas service to which you are accustomed In addition it
means a sizeable amount of income for city and county governments
and schoos
The ony new feature of the franchise is that the company
will start paying to the city two per cent of its gross receipts
from the sale of gas to industria customers It is estimated
this wi mean an additional $30000 to the city next year and
bring Oklahoma Natural?s total payments to the city to $220000
in the first year With the continued expansion and growth of
the city these payments wil continue to increase
it has been our priviege to serve natura gas to Oklahoma
City for over 50 years and to pay a vita part in the city's
growth
We ask your support in the rf'"-- -
