Traffic on U.S. 66 will soon be flowing: over, around and under this overpass now nearing completion at NW
39 and Grand blvd. This view in picture at right, looking northeast, shows one of two overpasses and part of
a traffic circle that form a traffic separation that ultimately will be part of a four-lane expressway to be de-
veloped along Grand blvd. The curving road in foreground is a temporary route for U.S. 66 traffic until the
overpasses are opened. In final development, this will be a frontage road leading south through a railroad
underpass over Grand blvd. Cost of the overpass and traffic separation was more than $500,000. The picture
at left shows relative position of the two overpasses.
