M College will forever remain
with us. A few students were in-
terviewed regarding their thoughts
of our school and its acceptance
into the North Central Association.
Donald Henderson: "Acceptance of
Eastern A&M by the N.C.A. will
mean a lot to our students in
the future, particularly in the
course of engineering."
Jerry Wilson: "We all know what
Eastern stands for. It’s for our
own good. Let’s back it with
everything we’ve got.”
Bob Wallace: “Education equals a
strong free government. We
should strive harder than ever
to make academic gains.”
Bill Jabara: “I'm happy to see that
Eastern has been Accepted by
the N. C. A. It will mean a lot
in future years.”
Marvin Winton: "Our institution
of learning is based on free
idealistic thinking. Let's give it
all we have.”
Vernon Moore: “Our acceptance
by the N. C. A. is a fine tribute
to all concerned with our
school.”

do a better job of training out
students to better meet the needs
in these fields.
It is our feeling that the mem-
bers of these boards have, and
are, contributing a fine public ser-

the community” is one that has
been heard frequently throughout
the year here at Eastern A&M.
for it is one of the basic principles
upon which this institution oper-
ates. By "community,” we mean
the entire area served by Eastern
A&M, of course, and not just one
local town or city.
But, if we accept this principle,
we must know what these needs
are in order to meet them. How
do we go about learning what
these needs are?
We have found that one of the
most effective ways is through
our Lay Advisory Boards, estab-
lished to give the college the bene-
fit of the thinking of the out-
standing men and women in ou
area in. at present, four different
fields: Business. Industry, Agricul-
ture and Home1 Life.
Each of these boards has had
its initial meeting and a few have
met twice at this writing Each of
these meetings have proven of
unestimable value to the. college
personnel associated with the par-
ticular field involved and with
the development of the college as
a whole. From these fine mon and
