found the wonfen hsd run from a
burning house and then fell into
the pool and drowned.
An autopsy helped officers die-
cover why one person died in an
automobile, while five others in
the car lived. Police were inves-
tigating the possibility death was
due to poison liquor, until the
autopsy showed it was a result
of carbon monoxide fumes.
It then was revealed the vic-

A NUMBER OF coldblooded

tected are in Oklahoma City to-
day . No one knows how many.
And the police do not know—
and probably will never know--
the identity, of the killers—be-
' cause many people get away
with murder.
• apt Wayne Harbolt, chief of
the police homicide squad, said
there are a number of undetect-
ed murders committed annually
in Oklahoma City. He based his
statement on national compart-
tive statisties on homicides, sui-
cides accidental and natural
deaths.

Tit SAID THI condition was

l quate and ineffective coroner
system which permits a justice
of the peace, who has no medical
training, to decide the cause of
death and sign death certifi-
cates.
Harbolt said the police depart-
ment favors a bill, prepared by
the state committee on practice
