The Mannford Library is helping veterans find
help.
Mannford Librarian Colleen A. Branson, and the
rest of her staff, is lending their talents to help
area veterans find the help they need and are en-
titled to.
“There are so may veterans that don't even re-
alize they are eligible for benefits that can help
them,” Branson said. “There was a veteran that
told us he needed help and didn’t even know
where to start.”
Now, the Mannford Library is helping area veter-
ans get started through their “Take Cover: Maneu-
vering Through your Military Benefits” night at
6:30 p.m April 14 at the Mannford Senior Center.
The program actually started after the library
staff began brainstorming about certain issues
that meant something to them and how they can
help.
“We asked ourselves, ‘who can we reach and how
can we help?' I hen we realized veterans don t
even know that they are entitled to numerous ben-
efits through several different agencies, Branson
said.
Branson has enlisted help from the local Blue
