” MARRIED
W L Me A bee and Miss Martha
Clayton of Burnmli were married
last week nt the home of the
bride’s parents Mr- and Mrs
Frank Clayton Mr MeAbee is
a substantial young fanner and
stockman who by his own in-
dustry is n cowboy and plainsman
has accumulated considerable pro-
perty and starts out with brighter
prospects than is the lot of the j
average cow-boy of whom it is
said: “once a cow puncher always
a cow puncher” Although Mr
MeAbee has “rode tho line” on
the plains of Toxas and Oklahoma
for over twenty years and is con-
sidered one of the best cowmen
and broncho busters in the en-
tire west he hus decided to for-
sake the charms of the plains for
a more quiet life and we congrat-
ulate him upon his' choice in this
matter and wish for himself and
estimable bride a long and pros-
perous life '
This Xmas will tie a memorable
one to Oklahoma in general for
variouM reasons urmciprl among
which isitlie fact that the weather
is delightful beingalmost ns warm
as a summer day While this is
true there are of course instan-
ces and circumstances which
though not impressing tho pub-
lic come to those most interested
in a strikingly real and forcible
wsy Jn fact it’s' not so much the
“way” as the reality that makes
a thing the more impressive upon
one We do not call to mind a
better example at this tirni than
the case of Mr Shultisn of Taioga
who awoke on Xnins morn to find
himself tins father of a bouncing'
big new boy-the real tiinrg-to use
the expression of a little girl: “a
res! meat babv too” Too Ail
roeite joins Mr and Mrs- ijiuiltise
in pronouncing thrirs tbe most
real forcible and lasting present
of tlie Ytlo Tide season and w
believe Mr- tj will not be out of
the way iu stepping a little high-
er than any of his neighbors for
