five state higher education institu-
tions — Oklahoma State University,
University of Oklahoma, Cameron
University, East Central University
and Southwestern Oklahoma State
University.
McElroy said the graduate level
classes, which include offerings in
education, business and engineer-
ing, allow students are remote sites
to see. hear, speak and be heard as
an active participant in a class that
is on another campus.
McElroy said the 27 clauses are
the most USAO has hosted since
the school became a ONENET hub
site. He is pleased with the wide
array of classes available this fall
and anticipates increased enroll-
ments in the teleconference courses
as more academic programs are
added and more institutions be-
come involved.
Students will meet in one of
USAO's fully equipped videocon-
ferencing classrooms. The school
has tow venues - in Nash Library
and in Troutt Hall - for the elec-
tronic classes.
"With two rooms, we can offer
classes that may be meeting at the
same time," he said. "Or if one
classroom is full, the overflow can
be moved to the second electronic
room and the two would broadcast
the class simultaneously."
The fall 1997 term marks the
third semester USAO has offered
graduate classes through ONENET.
Individuals wishing to enroll in a
graduate class must meet the
graduate admissions requirements
of the providing institution. Per-
sons who need more information or
assistance in enrolling should call
or visit the Office of Admissions at
USAO, located in Troutt Hall 204.
Phone number is (405)224-3140.
USAO Composer

American Society of Composers,
Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
This is the third consecutive year
Weber has received the award.
ASCAP is a national organization
which rewards composers and
authors for significant or quantita-
tive performances of original works
on the regional and national level.

USAO's director of admissions
said Friday, Aug. 22 is the final day
for prospective students to enroll
before the fall semester starts. Dr.
Tim McElroy said a fall schedule of
classes is available from the
Admissions Office, Troutt Hall 204.
Classes at USAO begin Aug 25
and continue through Dec. 5.
"Enrollment day is the last chance
to enroll at USAO before classes
begin. Although we enroll a lot of
students that day, the lines are
usually short," McElroy said.
McElroy said that although some
classes have closed, there are plenty
time to purchase that new sleep
