ner tables with the Christmas mo-
tif.
A small table held a small Christ-
mas tree and the donations for
Crippled Children Home placed a-
round it.
Rev. Phillip Bennett asked the
table blessing. Those present were
Mr. and Mrs. Art Lauderdale, Mrs.
T. C. Hefner, Mr. and Mrs Clell
Mason, Mrs Mary Wade, Mrs. Nora
Dunbar. Mrs. Ella Lumpkins. Mrs.
Evelyn Edmondson, Mrs. E. C.
Wegener, Mrs. Ruth Branum, Mrs.
The Minco Rebekah Lodge met
for a short business meeting and
then went to the home of Mrs.
George Eisenhour for a Christmas
party with Mrs. Don Bryan as Co-
hosteses.
After the members fixed Christ-
mas Plates for shut-ins in Mineo,
then they were entertained by the
orchestra composed of Mr. and
Mrs. A. L. Hiskett, Mrs. Sherman
Shockey, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Mit-
chum and Mr. and Mrs. Reathel
Malcom.
Then refreshments of dip and
chips, candy, cookies, fruit and
cake and coffee and Cocoa was
served to members, Mrs. Ulman
Davis, Mrs. Mickey Thompson,
Mrs. Cave Thompson, Mrs. Minnie
Walje, Mrs. Charley Hurley, Mrs.
Millard Craig, Mrs. Clark Miller,
Mrs. Alvin Wood, Miss Velma Car-
rell. Mrs. J. E. Davis, Mrs. Bruce
Horn, Mrs. Dallas Davis, Mrs. Oph-
elia Meyers, and Mrs. Marie Krey.
Installation for the officers of 1967
will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the
Masonic Hall and the public is in-
vited.
The XYZ club met at basement
of Methodist Church for their Christ-
mas meeting.
The president Mrs. Marvin Wood-
worth called the meeting to order.
Mrs. Ernest Hatcher gave very
inspiring devotional and Christmas
program followed by a poem and
prayer.
Roll call was answered by 28
membership naming their favorite
Christmas carol.
A nice collection of gifts were
brought for Crippled Children’s hos-
pital and report given of fruit sent
to shut-ins.
Plans were made to visit the sick
and shut-ins this next month.
Those honored with Birthday song
were Mrs. Marvin Woodworth, Mrs.
A June wedding is planned by No-
na Jane McDougal and Charles
Douglas Van Dyck III, whose en-
gagement is being announced by
her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Burton
B. McDougal, 728 South 16th.
The future bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Van Dyck,
902 South 7th.
Miss McDougal is a senior art
education major at the University
of Oklahoma. She is listed on the
Dean’s Honor Roll and a member
of OSEA and NAEA. She belongs
to the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
Mr. Van Dyck attended the Uni-
versity of Oklahoma and was listed
on the Deans Honor Roll. He be-
longed to the Kappa Alpha frater-
nity. He is now a dental student
at the Northwestern University's
Dental School in Chicago, Illinois.

star tiarra with shoulder length
silk illusion veil. She carried a cas-
cade banquet of Stephanotis with
a white orchid in the center.
Mrs. Larry Brown, of Houston,
1 Texas, sister of the groom, was
matron of honor. She wore a floor
! length gown of red velvet, with
marching hat, and white fur acces-
i sories. She carried a red poinset-
ta.
Larry Brown, brother-in-law of
। the groom, was best man. Ushers
were Tim Harrow, Chickasha, and
Clifford Belden, Oklahoma City.
Lynn Allen Brown, nephew of the
| groom. served as ring bearer, and
Misses Deborah Diane Brown, niece
of the groom, was flower, girl. She.
wore a dress of red velvet.
Mrs. Mays chose for her daught-
er's wedding a pale blue raw silk
dress with matching hat and shoes.
Mrs. Thorsen wore a turqupise
jersey dress with black accessor-
; ies.
A reception was held following
the ceremony at Royce’s Banquet
Room at Edmond, catered by Mrs.
Henry Banks. The refreshment
table carried out the Christmas mo-
tif. Mrs. Eugene Shouse registered
the guests. Serving at the refresh-
ment table were Miss Ann Zwick,
Miss Nancy Bowers, and Mrs. Sum
Gover,
The couple will reside in Okla-
homa City. ,
The Bitter Creek Extension Home-
makers club met December 21 at
the council room with Mrs. George
Dodson, Mrs. Jack Grisham, and
Mrs. Oscar VanSchuyer as hos-
tess.
The devotional was given by Mrs.
Grisham and Mrs. Van Meadows
led the flag salute. Mrs. Iva Dan-
iel led the group singing in Christ-
mas carols. Mrs. Grant Shipley led
in the Lord's Prayer.
Pal names were revealed and gifts
exchanged. New pal names were
drawn for the next year.

Flores, students form Lima Peru,

Mrs. Nina Clark of Oklahoma City
has returned home after a few
days visit with her sister Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Uuruh.
Guests Tuesday evening in the
home of W. R. Rich and daughter
Hazel was his sons Mr. and Mrs.
L. L. Rich and Larry, Mr and
Mrs. Howard Rich and Mr. and
Mrs. Dan Rich and children. They
all enjoyed a gift exchange.
Mrs. George Walje spent the week
end with his son, Mr. and Mrs.
Gerald Walje in Okla. City.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Vickery
and children spent Sunday at Hin-
ton with his parents Mr. and Mrs.
Norris Vickery.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur F. Kelly
of California and Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Wilson were supper guests Monday
night in the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Bob Slover.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Chappell and
children of California are visiting
his mother, Mrs. Clarence Chappel
and other relatives during the
holiday,
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Coley and Brian
Lee of Greenville, Texas, spent the
Christmas holidays with their par-
ents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Coley, and
Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Bass. Other
guests was their daughters, Mr. and
Mrs. George Bishesel and child-
ren of Perryton, Texas, and Mr.
and Mrs. Edwin Hutton and Elaine
of Midwest City.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Woodworth,
have their daughter Marilyn home
who has been a missionary for 4%
years in Cururputu Brazil. She is on
a years leave.
Larry Riley returned home this
week after completing 6 months bas-
ic training in Army of Ft. Polk,
La.
Mr. ami Mrs. Harold Kuykendall
and children of Wichita, Kansas
spent the holidays with his par-
ents Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Kuykendall
and other relatives.
A boy born to Mr. and Mrs.
John P. Eckert Jr., 114 South Xth,
at 10:35 a.m. December 21 at Gra-
dy Memorial Hospital. He weighed
seven pounds, 2% ounces.
A girl born to Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne London, Apache, at 8:47
a.m. December 25 at Grady Memor-
ial Hospital. She weighed eight
| pounds, 15 % ounces.
