their cousin, Mrs. Sylvia Earl Meek,

The eight week summer school
closed Friday morning with a swim
at Shannon Springs Park, Chicka-
sha. This was the fourth time the
students had enjoyed swimming
during the summer session.

fry on the lawn at their home Tues-
day nigt. The guests were Mr. and

Noble Rileys Are Honored On 40th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Noble Riley were - A
honored on their 40th wedding anni-
, Riley, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Boone Davis, last week.
Visiting in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Myers and family
recently were her sister. Mr. and
Mrs. D. L. Clift and Pam at Nor-
walk, Calif. Pam remained for a
longer visit. Other guests in the
Myers home were Wanda Stafford of
Apache and Nelda Stafford of Comp-
ton. Colo.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Iackey of San
Marcus, Texas, spent last weekend
with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
W. W. McCarty.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd flowers en-
tertained with a family supper on
the lawn at their home recently.
Present were her son and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Skinner. Bobby
and Terry of Phoenix, Aria., an-
other son, First Sgt. and Mrs. Abney
Skinner and children of Fort Sill; a
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Posey
of Edmond and their son, Harvey

Pictures were taken during the
afternoon and the honored couple
were presented gifts from those at-
tending.
The refreshment table was cov-
ered with a lace cloth over blue
and centered with a three-tiered
wedding cake topped with wedding
bells on one of which was "40." On
either side of the cake were blue
candles in milk glass holders. The
punch service was at one end of
the table and the coffee service
on a near-hy tahle.
Assisting with the serving were
Mrs. S. M. Brown, Mrs. Richard
Gray and Mrs. John Miller. Miss
Anne Miller registered the guests.

The Lions Club met in Mickel’s
Cafe Monday night with Hoyt Dun-
can. president, in charge.
The members discussed the com-
ing fair and how the club would
participate in it. Don Kinder and
Mrs. Vernon Lee of El Paso and
two children. His son and wife and
’ child, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Pate of
Wood River, III., were scheduled to
arrive Sunday.
Mrs. Henry Moody of Baytown,
Texas, has returned home after
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Rasberry.

Fire Department
Answers 7 Alarms
Only seven alarms were turned
into the fire department in the past
week. There were no fires outside
the city limits.
Two of the seven alarms answered
were first aid runs and one was a
safety run, someone smelled smoke,
but could not locate the fire.
The four other fires were of minor
nature, and very little loss was suf-
fered by the parties.
