travel tonight to the university

meet tonight when Kansas State

Newcastle Blanchard Stand-
ard Cable and Tuttle earned semi-
final berths Thursday night in
the Tuttle independent tournament.
The Chickasha All Stars drop-
ped a 46-41 game to the Newcastle
eagers. Blanchard downed the
Fowler quintet. 46-18.
Tuttle eased by Nohip 55-w and
Standard Cable blasted Amber.
Newcastle and Blanchard will
meet at 7 tonight la a semi-final
round. At p.m. Rtandard Cable
will tangle with Tuttle.
In the co isolation bracket the
All Star's meet Fowler's at 8 p.m.
with the Amber-Noble fray slated
for 9 p.m.
Consolation finals will be at 8
p.m. Saturday with the tourna-
ment finals at 9 p.m.

WITH THE 45TH DIVISION
IN KOREA UP) Boxers of the 45th
Division are training hard these
days for a possible shot at mak-
ing the American Olympic team.
After winning six of nine titles
in the 1851 Northern Japan Logis-
tical Command meet the 45th box-
ers checked in their gloves and
returned to Korean duty.
Suddenly about 20 men were
called back te the rear area for
conditioning workouts in squad
tents.
The immediate target is the
Eighth Army meet at Seoul March
24-29. The winners there in 10
weight duxes will move to Japan
for the FEC tournament April
28-May 3. Winners there are
eligible for a trip to the United
States and a shot at the Olympic
team.
