Hot Water Each Morning
Puts Roses in Your Cheeks
To look one’s best and feel one’s
best Is to enjoy an Inside bath each
morning to flush from the systeih the
previous day’s waste sour fermenta-
tions and poisonous toxins before it is
absorbed into the blood Just as coal
when it burns leaves behind a certain
amount of incombustible material in
’ the form of ashes so the food and
drink taken each day leave in the ali-
mentary organs a certain amount of
indigestible nlaterial which if not
eliminated form toxins and poisons
which are then sucked into the blood
through the very ducte which are in-
tended to suck in only nourishment to
sustain the body
If you want to see the glow of
healthy bloom in your cheeks to see
your skin get clearer and clearer you
are told to drink every morning upon
arising a glass of hot water with a
teaspoonful of limestone phosphate
in it which is a harmless means of
washing the waste material and toxins
from the stomach liver kidneys and
bowels thus cleansing sweetening and
purifying the entire alimentary tract

ged and need a flushing occasionally
else we have backache and dull misery
In the kidney region severe head-
aches rheumatic twinges torpid liver
acid stomach sleeplessness and all
sorts of bladder disorders
You simply must keep your Sidneys
active and clean and the moment you
feel an ache or pain in the kidney
region get about four ounces of Jad
Salts from any good drug store here

water before breakfast for a few days
and your kidneys will then act fine
This famous salts is made from the
acid of grapes and lemon juice com-
bined with lithia and is harmless to
flush clogged kidneys and stimulate
them to normal activity It also neu-
tralizes the acids in the urine so it
no longer irritates thus ending blad-
der disorders
Jad Salts is harmless Inexpensive

ports received here today the rapid-
ity of his flight is precipitating the
American pursuit Ail arms of the
service are being used In an attempt
attempt to force the bandit into a
corner
Let Villa Escape
San Antonio Tex March 28 — Fran-
cisco Villa's escape from the region
about Namiquipa was preceded by a
smart defeat administered by him to
a part of the Mexican government
troops and was unopposed by other
detachments of the de facto govern-
ment forces according to unofficial
but credible reports reaching here to-
day The cordon of Mexican troops
that the Mexican authorities bad an-
nounced had been diawn across his
path gave way according to these re-
ports with a willingness that indicat-
ed their co-operation with him rather
than with the American forces
May Be a Long Chase
Army men at department headquar-
ters were Inclined to believe the re-
ports of inefficiency and half hearted
co-operation and today contemplated
with speculative eye the probable fu-
ture of the second phase of operations
just inaugurated by the commander
of the punitive expedition No reports
from General Pershing to General
Funston dealt with other than routine
subjects principally those having to
do with the transportation of supplies
The positions of troops were not re-
vealed but it was known that the
cavalry were yet riding hard along
the trail left by Villa and bis little
army 1
It was realized here that the early
capture of Villa would be little better
than an accident With their knowl-
edge of the country and with the as-
sistance they can obtain along their
route Villa and his followers it is
feared will have no difficulty in keep-
ing ahead of the pursuing Americans
Is Near Other Bands
That Villa will be able to effect a
juncture with a considerable force be-
fore he is brought to a stand again is
regarded at headquarters here as
probable Canuto Reyes one of his
generals who bas been operating in
the vicinity of Torreon is known to
have an exceedingly mobile force that
is by no means negligible and in the
Btate of Durango it is said the Arrista
brothers are in position to move north-
ward to his support
Pershing Short of Supplies
Washington March 28 — Official ad-
vices today confirmed press dispatches
telling of the physical difficulties en-
countered by General Funston in
keeping a 200-mile supply line in op-
eration without the use of railroads
While there is no shortage of food or
other supplies for the troops at the
front cavalry mounts already are on
short rations
Villa Dodges Pursuers
San Antonio Tex March 27 — Fran-
cisco Villa has escaped from the Mexi-
can troops that had checked him near
Namiquipa and three columns of
American cavalry are pursuing him
Already they are almost 250 miles
south of the border and unless Mexi-
can forces bring the elusive bandit to
another stand this distance will be
greatlv increased by the close of -the
week
Villa’s success in extricating him-
self from the dangerous position into
which he had been driven by the Amer-
ican punitive force was related in a
detailed teport of General l’arshing
received bv General Funston today
General Funston forwarded the re-
port to Washington without making
public any but the essential featutes

Three aeroplanes are at El Valle

sweeping that part of Mexico for al-
most a week subside and which ac-

went into Mexico two are still out of
commission They were damaged In

Wilson Warns Against Alarmists
Washington March 27 — President
Wilson tonight issued a warning that
“sinister and unscrupulous influences”
are spreading alarmist reports about
the Mexican situation with the object
of forcing intervention by the United
States “in the interest of certain
American owners of Mexican proper-
ties” In a formal statement the Presi-
dent told the people of the United
States to be on their guard and not
to credit such stories He urged
those who disseminate news to test
the sources and authenticity of every
report from the border and called at-
tention again to the government’s an-
nouncement that the sole object of the
punitive expedition now iir Mexico was
to punish Villa and his followers
The news services supplying news-
papers had been asked the President
said to assist in presenting this view
constantly before the Mexican people
and American people to the end that
i the expedition should not be given the
color of war
Expect New of Battle
San Antonio Tex March 25 — Gen-
eral Pershing’s report to General Fun-
ston that two columns of his expedi-
tionary force were in the vicinity of
Namiquipa 120 miles southeast of
Casas'Grandes and repeated reports
from Mexican sources that Villa with
a comparathely small force had been
forced to a stand at El Oso near
there caused officers here to expect
news of a battle at any time General
Funston believed It probable that an
engagement might already have 'oc-
curred General Pershing referred today for
the' first time since last Monday to
his operations south of Casas Grandes
but his report contained little informa-
tion and none concerning any encoun-
ter between Villa and American sol-
diers or troops of the de facto govern-
ment Surrounded at El Oeo
He said Vi la had last been reported
at Namiquipa His report was dated
today reached Columbus by wireless
and was transmitted by telegraph to
Fort Sam Houston It was taken by
army officers here to indicate that
either no engagement was fought yes-
terday with Villa or that General
Pershing had not learned of it
Consul Beltran of the Mexican gov-
ernment received a message late to-
day from Consul Garcia at El Paso
saying confirmation had been received
of the report that Villa had been de-
feated yesterday in the Santa Ger-
trudes Canyon by the American and
Mexican forces and that he had fled
to El Oso five miles from Nami-
quipa where he was surrounded The
consul added that one of the Ameri-
can officers with the expeditionary
forces had reported to General Persh-
ing that they would attack Villa to-
day American Base at El Valle
The American troops near Nami-
quipa moved south and east from
Casas Grandes over the trail that
passes through El Valle and Cruces
El Valle fifty-five miles from Casas
Grande was selected by General
Pershing as a temporary base he said
in his report to General Funston The
fact that lie mentioned two columns
as having reached points near Nami-
quipa caused It to be believed here
that he had called back the third col-
umn dispatched from Casas Giandes
the first of the week from the trail
leading to Carmei and sent it south
from Galeana to join the Se-enth cav
airy on Its way south tluough El
