at the age of 3 years 8 months
and 23 days
He leaves to mourn his going
his father and mother three
brothers Robert Jerrel and
Leon grandparents Mr and
Mrs R F Donaldson Grand-
mother Nancy Minor and a
host of uncles aunts cousins
and many friends
Funeral services were held
in the Baptist Church in Strong
City with Rev Fred Wright
in charge Sunday March 1
1936
Interment was in the Strong
City cemetery
We wish to thank the many
friends and neighbors for their
loving kindness during the ill-
ness and death of our loving
son and brother

I helped to organize and I
served as Chairman of The
Roger Mills County Tax Re-
duction Association during its
activities in this county
I have been a member for
year3 of the Farmer's Union
In 1933 1 was secretary of the
Strong City local and was a
delegate that year to both the
State and National Union Con-
ventions State President Tom
Cheek appointed me Chairman
of the Resolutions Committee
and I led in writing the Union
Legislative program for 1933
I served for a year as secre-
tary of the Union local at
Strong City
Over two years ago I was
appointed Secretary of the
Roger Mills County Debt
Settlement Committee This is
a five man committee appoint-
ed by the government and
serving without pay for the
purpose of helping debt ridden
farmers refinance themselves
and save their homes from
foreclosure I am still secre-
tary of the committee which
has handled over iwo hundred
cases in this county
I was appointed Reading
Clerk in the Senate during the
special Session of the Legisla-
ture two years ago becoming
thoroughly familiar with legis-
lative proceedure and person-
ally acquainted with many
state political leaders At his
personal request I made the
speech renominating R L
McCool for State Democaatic
Chairman two years ago r
I remained at the State Cap-
itol during the entire loth ses-
sion of the Legislature AT
MY OWN EXPENSE work-
ing to assist the people of this
county and of all Western
Oklahoma to get a fair hear-
ing before that body I fought
against taking away our local
control of our schools I oppos
sed consolidating counties into
larger districts I urged a
greater proportion of state
moneys spent on the west side
and a larger proportion of ap-
pointments from west side
counties
I believe in the legislative
program for the state asked
by the Farmers Union I be-
lieve in an adequate Old Age
Pension 1 firmly believe in
