lUiJ we need not mention that
this tsnk Is growing Immensely
prpsiar This le evidence that
the farmers and merchants of
Sequoyah county have fullest
confidence id the conservative
policy business management
and financial integrity one of the
officers of this institution'
Oklahoma boasts of her strong
Institutions This is one them
Considering the time this bank
haa been doing business in a
city the size of Sallteaw with
two other' banks It is simply a
marvel But what makes it a
strong institution? It’s the
management — the head A1
great industries movements or
institutions are the outgrowth
of conceptions born in the mind
of man The man who is father
to the idea and guardian of its
welfare is greater than the idea
" j worked out in material form
this Tpjje head is the dynamo which
makes the achievement a suc-
cess He it is who directs the
course shapes the policy of the
institution In this it often
requires more brains than to
govern wisely the affairs of
state j
The man to whom is largely
due the credit for the success of
the Sallisaw Bank and Trust
Company is I H Nakdimen the
president of the concern Pos-
sessed of native sagacity and
discretion uncommon ability in
sizing up a proposition on its
individual merits — very essen
tial to the success of an institu
tion of this kind— he is very
fittingly qualified to handle its
iffairs with conservatism and
sufcty 1
One commendable inherent
trait in this man’s disposition
which counts largely in the
popularity he has won for the
bank is that he is not afraid of a
good thing He is cautious
but not cowardly Rather than
dismiss a favorable proposition
:or fear that it might upon in-
vestigation prove unworthy he
nvestigates sizes up measures
down analyzes its merits dis
counts objectionable feature
rims' down to bare facts adds
up the merits subtracts the
efects draws a line and puts
under it the net results— the
safe conservative value of the
proposition to him and his bank
He doesn’t tell you to come next
week and be will consider the
matter— howinR thereby to dis
miss both yon and the subject—
but he will tell you in a very few
minutes just what he can do for
you Not with tears in his eyes
add a graveyard face but with
genial smiling countenance
Other men lose many good deals
because of postponing consider
ation which in ipost cases
means the losing of opportunities
“golden” in more ways than
one The willingness to take
hold of a problem that demands
immediate attention we wiltguar
antee is a big drawing cardin win
ning support and patronage for
this bank A bank that defers
investigation may always be as
sound and solid ns Gibraltar
but it will never grow
Nakdimen has faith -in the
stability of this great couutry of
ours He understands "values’
which are of course the basis
of all securities If the securi
ties under consideration are
realty he examines the soil as
well as the title if they are
chattels you needn’t think he is
going to "count chickens before
they are hatched Cows of
“ blood’ ' are worth more than
mere hone and weight If it is
market stocks or bond securi-
ties responsibility stability
and the Intrinsic value of the
goods are more weighty oon
eld orations than beautiful paperi
and whay may be 1 written in
gilded letters upon' them In
short he is a natural born sue
csssful banker possessed of
those qualities and ingredient!
which make men “kings
linance” '
- When you enter the door of
bis bank and gaze upon the
white Interior the whits safe
end the great white vault you
need not bid your friends good
for nrMvlt tillering
sepplchre nor a crematory ijs
no morgue either where you
will be “laid out” You will be
happily disappointed for you
will not even get “skinned”
When you peep through the
bars and seethe smiling coun-
tenance of “Nick” you know be
ie not -there for what he has
previously done but fqr what be
can do for you The first thing
he does for you is to make you
feel at home That dismisses
your doubts ' and flare and
Nick’s smile— still growing—
tarns tbe apparent sepulcher
into a palace of sunshine This
sunshine Is worth something to
you It is worth 40 cents on the
dollar to his bank Ten per
cent on chattels added to this
forty per centhf confidence and
good will- makes the bank a
good round 50 per cent on each
business transaction Here are
the bank’s assets- This is one
reason why this is such a grow-
ing institution
When he greets you through
the bars— if that is where you
first catch a glimpse of him— he
appears just like a man at whose
home a new boy had appeared
that morning and was prepar
log to pass a around the treats
before he put you next to the
happy event
But the thing that makes him
happy is that he sees another
dollar born that day or another
customer added to his fat list
That ought to make any business
man happy but it doesn’t
Doljars carve lines on the faceB
of many bankers because thev
crave and covet "coin” Multi
plication of dollars only broadens
the smile on Nakdimen’s face
for he doesn’t love the dollar
because it is' 100 cents but be-
cause it brings more business
A miser loves to see the money
come in but he wants none to go
out Nick likes to see it go out
especially if lie knows it is going
to do you some good He sees
that the way to get money is to
put money out and the more
out the more coming in That
is just what makes this bank
grow
The Sallisaw Bank and Trust
Co are fortunate in having a
wise head in the person of Mr
Nakdimen Sallisaw is proud
justly proud that it has both
this bank and Mr Nakdimen
and Sequoyah county can com
pliment itself on an institution
that will stand by the county
and its development The towns
tributory to Sallisaw are alo
proud to have the interest of the
entire county- encouraged by
this strong linaucial institution
