McCormack is entering the open
primary September 18 after being
defeated for endorsement for the
nomination by Kennedy at the
Democratic state convention June
9.
Speaker John W. McCormack
said in Washington a few days af-
ter the convention he would cam-
paign for his nephew.
Kennedy is the youngest brother
of President Kennedy.
Both the President and the
third brother U. S. Atty. Gen.
Robert F. Kennedy have said they
will take no part in Edwards cam-
paign for the nomination.
The President said at a news
conference in Washington how-
ever that he expects to campaign
for the Democratic nominees aft-
er the primaries.

Four graduate students .have
been awarded Will Rogers service
scholarships totaling $1688.88 for
the current summer school ses-
sion. The scholarships are given to
students who plan to work with
handicapped children in Oklahoma.
Dr. C. Stanley Clifton chairman of
the Will Rogers scholarship com-
mittee is director of the OU
school of social work.
Two students studying special
education were given $400 grants
each. They are Karen Hendrex
Tulsa and Barbara Wyche Hugo.
Scholarships of $444.44 each were
presented to Avery Vaughn Terra
Bella Cal. and Rodney Rowley
Parowan Utah. Both are majoring
in speech and heariing.
