' The Oklahoma university men
strongly influence style trends hi
this part of the country an-ortling
to several national clothing manu-
facturers This leadership was particularly
evidenced In the Ivy league trend
In men’s clothes OU was the firc
college with this style clothing in
the Southwest and although the
trend is now well established on the
Sooner campus other schools in
this part of the country will tie ex-
posed to it for the first time this
fall
The average Sooner man is con-
sidered to be well-dressed and liv
using good taste and judgment he
accomplishes this without spending
a large amount of mi ley on clothing
Corduroy Reigns
Corduroy will play an important
part in the OU look this fall It will
be seen as slacks suits sport coats
and suburban coats This attractive
fabric inexpensive and practical
too will be the hallmark of the
well-dressed Sooner man
Slacks of corduroy have heen well
accepted at OU for a year They are
styled with plcatless trousers and
come in a wide selection of colors
The corduroy slacks and sport coats
may lie cooidinated for variety
Corduroy suits are suitable for
most informal occasions The coat
will double as a blazer-type sport
