the California trip were a scenic tour of

and winning of the Sixth (apital City

Mae Doris Copeland McMiller and
daughter Anneliesa McMiller, em-
ployed at the Michigan Bank
Americard Co., paid us a surprise
visit. Here attending the Copeland -
Field Reunion. We were happy to see
Anneliesa and talk about her last trip
to T-Town 9 years ago. Mae is still in
town, making the rounds, looking chic,
seeing friends, and relaxing before she
motors to Las Vegas and L. A. en-
tertaining the thought of relocating.
With all of her involvement she took
time out to cook a "mean pot of
greens" for her nieces, Lisa and
Mi heile Fields, and share a little love

Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Jones II and
siblings Angie and Daryl motored to
Memphis, Tenn, to visit with Pat’s
parents T.J. and Pauline Toney
During ther stay the children were
entertained by seeing the Disney
"Flick” Rescuers and also going to
liberty Land (a miniature Six Flags).
Unexpected of course was the death of
Rock Idol Elvis Presley. But apart of
the history are the Jones’, for the un-
timely death and the grief stricken
friends. Time also was spent with Rev.
Edward Parker Jr. and family.
Mr. & Mrs. Travic McGilbra of North
Boston Avenue entertained her sisters,
Onnye Jean (Mrs. Thomas E.) Sears
and Jewel (Mrs. William W.) Baker of
San Diego, California recently. Mrs.
Sears and Mrs. Baker spent more than
a week visiting with their mother, Mrs.
E. A. Roundtree, and brother Elliot
Roundtree of Sand Springs; their
sisters Ernestine McGilbra, Naomi
(Mrs. Alfred) Ball, and (Mrs. Neal)
Penn.
Mae Doris Copeland McMiller, Lola
Grimes and JoAnn Fields had a wild
and enjoyable evening at the concert.
It isn’t often that surprises and treats
are offered, but that's Mae Doris. An
outing on her! She’s a camera buff too.
You should see the pictures of Ray
Charles. For an amateur she’s tops, no
doubt about it.
■7.
Colonel Sears. Mrs. Sears' husband,
a professor of criminal justice at
Savannah State College, did not ac-
company her on this trip to Oklahoma.
While here, Mrs. Sears made hopscotch
visits in and around Sand Springs and
Tulsa with friends and relatives. A
highiihgt of her stay was a nostalgic
and fun-filled dinner held on Friday
last, when members of the Class of*47"
met to catch up on thirty years of living
very interesting lives. Among those
attending were: Mrs. I^niece Castile
Cole, of Denver, Colorado; Rev. and
Mrs. Wylie Gardner, Ms. Zora B.
Gipson, Mrs. Evelyn Taylor, Mrs.
Lenell Turner, and Mrs. Loretta
Wilson.
