leaders Encyclopedias dictionaries

"This is a iarticularly welcome
collection to the library in view of
our local interest in military his-
tory and the present world condi-
tion" Dr McAnallv said
Originally the hook collection
was owned by a reserve officers
club in New Orleans The books
were Bert to OU during the war to
lie used by the army siiecialiaed
unit stationed at the university
When that group dislwnded on the
campus the army ROTC Inherited
the liook Dr McAnally added

Since the ROTC unit didn't have
adequate library facilities to loan
the liooks to students the officers
decided that they would arrange
to give the collection to the library
