( H1CAGO — A a pedal federal grand jury in San Fran-
dico is trying to force friends of Symbionese Liberation
. Army members to help with leads to the whereabouts of
two fugitive SLA members and Patricia Hearst.
, The grand jury, which is also gathering evidence In
•Miss Hearst's kidnapping, has already held two persons
. in contempt tor refusing to testify despite grants to Im-
munity.

Miss Hall, from Lincolnwood, Ill., a Chicago suburb,
was one of six SLA members killed May 17 in a shootout
with authorities in Los Angeles. She attended the Uni-
versity of Minnesota with Mrs. Halverson, according to
investigators.
Investigators said Mrs. Halverson received a call from I
Miss Hall around Feb. 4 saying she was moving to Palo
Alto Calif., and was taking a job as a gardener.
Mrs. Halverson's husband, Paul, 29, was held in con-
tempt for refusing to testify, as was Cynthia Garvey, 23,
of Oakland, Calif. Both were later released on their own
recognizance after appealing the contempt citation.
The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are
searching for Miss Hearst and SLA members William
Harris, 29, and his wife, Emily, 27, who authorities be-
lieve picked out Miss Hearst for kidnapping.
Meanwhile, federal Investigators revealed they have
located a biographical card on Miss Hearst that disap-
peared from a file at the University of California at
Berkeley, where she was a student.
The card was found by campus police, but it had no
fingerprints to identify the person who originally re-
moved it.
