Soft Diet Adequate
DEAR DR. THOSTE-

Net Goes Camping
worked dutifully — in
fact, cost us less than sev-
en dollars.
Of course, one thing
calls for,another, so after
having the screened-in
canopy we decided that we
would like to go a step fur-
ther and make it possible
to use in all weather, wet
or dry.
For an additional four
dollars, I bought eight in-
expensive shower curtains.
I dyed them the same col-
or as the net and in rainy
w-eather snapped them on
over the net, making avail-
able all possible usahle
space In spite of the
weather. This was a great
addition to our
gear.
A pot of hot coffee was
the only thing needed nn
our last camping trip tn
make our trailer the most
Now as to the diet, that's
pretty well balanced, with
protein (the cheese, milk,
meat), two servings of
vegetables (I presume you
try to provide some varie-
ty), and moderate carbo-
hydrate.
The spacing nf the feed-
ings also sounds good.
Her diet probably is a
bit shy in vitamin C, and It
might be wise to substitute
orange juice or tomato
juice for one of the grape
juice servings. In fact, a
daily mixed vitamin cap-
sule is usually a good pre-
caution for older people.
You don't mention egg,
which is an excellent
source of protein. Soft
hoiled. poached, or as egg
nog. it's easy to eat. If
she'll eat a little more at
breakfast, an occasional
egg could give her a little
more nourishment to carry
her through the day. Or an
egg could at times he sub-
stituted for a meat ierv- “
