Underthe Oklahoma law it requires
only ninety days residence in the
state of Oklahoma for a person to get
a divorce. Under the law as made
by pklahoma this is all required, but
a federal law was put on the statutes
which says that It shall require a
year's residence in a territory for a di-
vorce. Under the enabling act and
proclamation Oklahoma is now a state
and the old Oklahoma law is in force.
On account of the fact that Clare-
more is about the first town of im-
portance in the state, as one comes
from the east, and It is already noted
for being a health resort and pleas-
ant place for a three month's holiday
it is expected, and signs are already
showing that a great number of per-
sons desirous of obtaining a divorce
on short notice will be here. There
will be many people with money to
spend to take advantage of the law,
and from present indications Okla-
homa will soon be noted as was Da-
kota on the divorce question. Clare-
more bids fair to be right in at the,
start, and much of the money to be
spent by this class of people will find
Ite way to Claremore direct.

Dr. Bryan Secures Appointment.
Dr. W. W. Bryan, our talented
dentist, was recognized by Governor
Haskell, in a manner to make any
professional man happy. The doctor
has received a letter from Mr. Hask-
ell's secretary that he has been ap-
pointed on the board of dental exam-
iners of the State of Oklahoma. This
honor is a great one, and in recogniz
ing the talent of Dr. Bryan and the
knowledge he possesses in dentistry,
the governor could have paid him no
higher compliment, as this is the
highest position to be reached by a
professional man in the state.
We predict that Bryan, who has
gone to Guthrie to attend the meet-
ing today, will make food and be a
valuable member of this board.

Some Fine Character Drawings.
Scientists say there are but two
passions, love and hate. Ibsen, the
great Norwegian dramatist recogniz-
ed this doctrinc when he wrote "A
Doll's House," In which Miss Jane
Corooran will appear at the Windsor
Opera House on Wednesday, Nov. 27,
"A Doll's House," the master work
of the master mind of powers of the
century, witli whom only Shakesphere
is counted, taxes all the powers of ttie
player, in that it requires the potray-
al of tho character of a worried, heart
torn girl, a frightened down with tiie
elemental passions, love and hate.
Ibsen knew how to draw his charac-
ters And in Miss Corcoran he found
his ablest and aptest pupil. She pre-
sents in the flesh ttie womt«vh« made
to live on tiie printed page. Miss
Cocoran's character drawing is said
to be a most wonderful piece of act-
ing. She so completely lives the
part that the spectator is not ready
to say as is so often said of others
"Thats only acting."
mihs Corcoran Is supported by Mr.
James M. Brophy, a capable actor.
Ttie other parts are in capable hand,
also, which Insures a well balances
production.
The new Christian church, corner
of Florence and Seventh, will be de-
dicated on Sundav, November 24,
William J. Dodge, dedicator.
