Double Wedding.
A quiet, but nleasant double wed-
ding occured in our town last Sunday
afternoon, when four of our youug
people were made happy and started
ou their matrimonial voyage of life's
sea with the best wishes of their
friends. The happy couples were Mr.
£dgar Anderson and Miss Lena Lord,
and Mr. George Halt* and Miss Mat-
tie Williams. The wedding took
place at the home of Mrs. A. C. lay-
ton, a sister of Miss Lord. The cere-
monies were performed hy Rev. Wm.
Robinson and were ver> impressive.
Mr. Anderson, who rami' to Clare-

year ago, has proven himself a young
man of ability and worth. He is a
law student and has been with Daven-

accepted thf position of lioolrkee|ier

employed. His bride. Miss Lord, is
