Sol is hurt!
So is Puny!
Jack opines to Al as how that don't sound a bit promising
—for Sol has always been at iron man since way back in O H
S days And Puny ain't used to being sent to the showerc
But such is the grid life
Ain't it so? And Central and the Aggies coming soon too—
and Sol can't be back in time for either game the medicos say
Sol tore the ligaments in his left shoulder and dislocated
his shoulder joint And Sol was all-valley full pick last year
Well its stM early season Tuesday was first scrimmage
for the Sooners Bennie hove in from K C Tuesday noon and
h t g scrimmage started Tuesday night—first for the 1921
season Sure seemed good to Jack outside of the casualties
Puny will be back in a day or two Probably in time for the
Monty benefit Sooner-Boomer game Friday at 4 p m Lees
not forget that game
Bennie used two full squads in scrimmage Tuesday Mac
had to use four yearling gangs to hold 'ern After Sol and Puny
got hurt the varsity went hoh wild and nothing could hold 'cm
Only two more days of scrimmage and then the Sooner-
fioomer mix "Charge 'em—you ain't going to get any rest un-
til after Turkey Dayr Bennie told the Varsity forwards when
they began to come up for air Tuesday Big Bill Pond Creek's
pride was sick May not get into the Monty Benefit mix And
with Sol Puny and Big Bill out a: Boomers should make a
presentable showing And did you see Little Monty go? Wow!
—same old stuff as Big Monty
Bennie was in K C fixing up the 1922 Sooner basketball
schedule- Bennie was so busy he couldn't give it to Jack
Jazz Hounds starting their "Cornhuskers or Bust" after
Tuesday night meeting
