Information cheerfully given
News is rather scarce this week,
the reason of this perhaps being on
account of nothing much going on
except hugging the warm stove, as
the atmosphere the latter part ot
last week and the fore part of this
has been too cool for a thin-blooded
southerner to stand it long out of
doors, especially with such an un-
usually sudden change for those not
used to it.
Another basket ball game was
played between the Canadian Val-
ley school and the Gearyites The
game was in favor of the Geary
boys this time.
Orvid, the one-year-old son of
Herb Critchfield, who we last week
mentioned as havinor been burned
is about well again.
G. A. Lehman and wife, Henrv
Funk, W H. Lehman«and Fred Ba-
ker were Watonga business visitors
last Saturday. While there we had
the pleasure of meeting the Oak
Ridge No 1 correspondent We
opened the subject of our Wyoming
trip, but the good story was too
long to finish at that moment. So
we decided to meet some other time
when we were not so much engaged
in the Oak Ridge oil well talk
Edward Graber and wi e and Miss
Trisca Krehbiel, who visited along
Cauadian Valley last week, left the
i latter part of the week for their
home at Moundridge, Kas. Thev ap-
peared to have a good impression
of Oklahoma. Canadian Valley
looked good enough to th«*ra to set-
tle down in. This valley is situated
between the two rivers, the North
and South Canadian, and for good
land and good looks it is hard to
heat in Oklahoma.
Mary D Lehman, accompanied
bv Gertrude Renser,%Gussie and El-
len Goebel, of Moundridge, Kas,
is expected to arrive here Saturday
to spend Christmas among Canadian
Vallev relatives and friends.
Frank Musser from Gearv paper-
ed several rooms for Beng Neely
and in the Ralph Kirkuff house last
week
G. A. Lehman sold three horses
last week. One team of mares to
Rogers Brothers and one mare to
John Lehman.
Henrv A Lehman is helping A.
F Bonderer repair his tenant house
this week.
