New Paper
There will bo a new Socielist
monthly journal published at
Marlow' commencing January 1
under caption “The Frying Pan
Comrade P G Zimmerman will
be managing editor and Horace
Nance publisher
There will be a mass conven-
jon at City Hall in Hugo Choc-
taw county December 21st
I ain in receipt of a letter from
a comrade down-on the Frisco
who Informs me that a “Social-
ist was elected’’ for township
treasureer at the last election
that he is a Saturday night drunk
ard and is in bad with the funds
He also notities me that there
is no local there that he is not
a Red Card member and further
more wants me to apply the re-
call and show our strength
Now Comrades: here is one
case where they get in bad and
snows the volume of their igno
ranee in writing us as they do a
bout it He is not a “Socialist”
in the true sense but merely a
sympathizer Had there been a
local there the chances are that
he would not have been nomina-
ted for such an important posi-
tion and surely they would have
had the jurisdiction to recall him
Just such matters as these are
liable to happen all over the State
unless Jyou comrades get busy
and organize and in a position to
protect yourselves You must
? get the power to enforce your
demands and the organization
affords this power

Protestsantism in Italy
According to a recent report
there are in Italy about GOO Pro-
testant churches with a member-
ship of 25000 There are sever-
al tine educational institutions
medical institutions etc and
fifteen religious papers and re-
views carry the gospel over the
penensular
It is said that a great change
has taken place among the peo-
ple in their attitude toward pro-
testantism Italian converts
were formerly regarded with sus-
picion and were boycotted from
public hospitals and factories
Today they are respected sought
for and all doors are opened to

them and the cultured classes
are appealing to the various pas-
tors for evangelistic servants
knowing them to be honest and
dilligent and even the royal fam-
