Haskell has issued a proclamation set-
ting out the names of the towns which

To Bend Inspectors Out— State Ex-
aminer and Inspector Charles Taylor
baa announced that as soon as the bill
now pending In tbe legislature provid-
ing for the reduction of excessive tax
levies la passed by both houses and
signed by the governor he will rend
inspectors Into every county of the
state and examine closely the tax
levies If any are found excessive
and the taxea are known to be so In
many school districts and several
counties Mr Taylor will report to
the governor and the local boards will
be aaked to meet at onoe and reduce
the levies to tbe constitutional limita-
tion In many school districts ths
school tax Is double and sometimes
quadruple the county tax and many
times larger than the state tax Iu
one school district the school tax upon
one half section of land waa $132 or
nearly 60 cents an acre The admin-
istration realises that these excessive
district and county taxes will be laid
to the Democrats now In control of
tbe government whereas the admin-
istration has reduced the state tax to
IH mills and claims that the exces-
sive axes ars due to extravagant levies
of county and township boards of as-
sessors Ths governor will require all
boards to reduce ths levy to what la
actually necessary for conducting tho
business of tbe county or school dis-
trict for one year -
