and Alva came in to visit his

of Guthrie have been visiting for

nessey Wednesday He reports
wells going dry that never went
dry before He also says that we
are far ahead of ftbem with wheat

Mrs Charles Hanna of Enid is

turned from Wichita Wednesday
Switzer has sold his interest in
the telephone system to Sam

Cloe Smith of Ringwood came in
last week to spend Chistmas with

phone in his residence Mr

conductor on a freight from Enid

Mrs Raider was very sick with
heart trouble one day last week
The Dr' said that if he had been
one hour later he could not have
saved her' Thus the phone that
had just been put in at Grimes’s
helped save a life
A J and Bert Mathis went to
Ringwood Monday to make ar-
rangements for building a phone
system there but were urable to
do anything as the funeral of Fer-
ipison was in progress and the
stores were all closed They say
they could hardly get their dinner
John Evans went to Ringwood
Monday He says it is hard to
get the straight of the shooting
affair they had at that place
Christmas day Mr Ferguson
the Marshal was shot three or
iour times and Fox the murderer
lad three bullets put through him
and was filled from head to foot
with shot
J J Hughes’ family were
scared up for a short time yester-
day morning as a result of a
slight accident Leo was shoot-
ing a twenty-two revolver at some
pigeons The shell flew out and
struck him ju?t above the corner
of the eye Mrs Hughes phoned
up that Leo had shot himself and
the folks at the bank were scared
up for a while but the damage
proved slight
