EVERYBODY’S STORE
Mr A J Slade the owner of
this enterprising establishment
came to Oklahoma from South-
eastern Missouri where he still
owns two good farms These
two farms have not tied him to
his old home however as he
has permanently located him-
self in Wagoner by purchasing
and improving a home and
then he is too well pleased with
the town and country the cli-
mate water people schools and
churches to ever want to go
back to “Old Missou” He has
already been shown the good
things of the state He was
in business at Stroud and later
before coming to Wagoner he
tried the big windy city of Tul-
sa but of all of them he is for
Wagoner all the time
Mr Slade had two stores in
Wagoner The one on Main st
called the Everybodys Store and
a branch store on Cherokee St
managed by Mrs Slade These
stores have recently be consoli-
dated They carry dry goods as
well as a great variety of use-
ful household articles found m
all large variety stores M
Slade has over ten thousand
dollars invested in variety goods
which represents a very large
stock of this kind of merchan-
dise He sells for cash and
has the cash to discount his
wholesale bills He saves a
great deal on discounts and
buys cheaper for cash and in
selling for cash he saves the
loss on bad accounts as well as
the interest on the money he
would be out of the use of if he
he had accounts over the town
and county During this time
of high prices he has been able
to make attractive prices by
dividing these savings with his
patrons and from the success
he has had with the business
there is no doubt his customers
fully appreciate this feature of
Everybodys Store
