The Re-Sale
The re-sale of town lots in
Strong City being published in
the Cheyenne Star and ol which
great things were expected is
not attracting much attention
since it is alleged that the pub-
lication Is illegal
In reference to re-sales the law
says: “It must be published for
four consecutive weeks ' in ' some
newspaper in the county”
Men who claim to know some-
thing about land titles say this
sale wouldn't Etand up in court
because the paper although dat-
ed Thursday Nov 2 was not
published until until tne follow-
week Tuesday Nov 7 The
contention of some however is
that the sale would be legal yas
the paper is dated back so as to
show the four weeks of publica-
tion The law says it must be
published four weeks not four
issues The sale is to be Monday -Nov

All over Oklahoma comes the
news that people are selling out
and moving to Califorpi Whence
comes this California craze? Nof
from the reputable real estate
men for they have disposed of all
the best land in the state not
from the commercial clubs of the
different cities for they know all
available good land is occupied
and that hardships will follow in
the wake of the enormous emi-
gration And so we can only fall
back on the origin of this late
“California call” as being the
work of unscrupu’ous real estate
agents who have land that the
wise shun but will be taken by
the new-comers who know noth-
ing of the soil or climatic condi-
tions Every once in awhile we have
these “land calls” and families
break up their homes sell they
have and seek pastures new
where nine times out of ten they
suffer untold hardships
