one way which we are sorry to
say that it sadly neglected
How many cf the (atron
whose children attend here have
made the sdhool a visit? It is u
fact that very few patrons ever
enter the school building in thtir
district uulksa they go to a school
meeting— and some never do go
People that is neglect If you
neghet you children in other re

they need sympathy
The thought has come to us
that some Friday afternoon the
Some more It has been fret ly Parents any six or eight persons

state law makes it compulsory j°f e schools and that this
for construction comparing to should be made a habit until all
put rolling stock on their grades
and place the roads in operation
and that a raUtoad would bebuiit
to this town within the year
Now we have no more faith in
this thing than we have in the
declaration that the high cost of
living will come down but just
supposing the case If we get
good crops this year if the:
country directly north of town at Taloga January 22 23 and 24
gets oil and we get a railroad Examination will be given for
wouldn’t this bo just a little tooinstitute conductor and instruct
much of a good thing for one jors’ certificates at Taloga Janu-

the parents of all the children of
these rooms have visited the
school You can’t realize the
good it will do the teachers and
the pupils Let’s hear from
somebody along this line

grace ard fortitued as they of
this community are entitled to
the best there is going but the
point we are trying to whittle
out is wouldn't all these things
at one time be too much for us to
get the real benefit of and
wouldn’t i t be better if they
would come singly and farther
apart? 'Of course we are per-
suaded to believe that the rail-
road will be far enough apart
from the oil and good crops and
yet it could happen
Examinations will be held for

OAKWOCD INTERESTED
At the close of the preliminary
Service b y the Seiling Gospel
Team at Oakwood last Saturday
night no doubt many persons
went home with this thought up-
permost in their minds “If that
is all there is to a gospel team
there isn’t much to it” But
when they left the meeting Sun-

sition they hud disappeared th
people felt that the town had
received mot then had been
bargained for
It it with a great deal of yrid
that w can say the boys did
their best work at Oakwood and
at th result of their xealousncaa
(and by tho way with the assist-
anco of the hulks who were with
them) 4otrns cime forward
and by so doing expressed their
lesire and willingness to lead a
new life
Immediately before the close
of the night service a team was
organized with temporary officers
and the date for Tuesday night
was set for a meeting in which
to perfect organization This
resulted in the enrollment of 20
additional members making a
total of 63 They have already
received a call for a meeting out
of town and will make their first
trip next Sunday
The people of Oakwood have
received a vision of better things
and with a team like they have
are most sure to win
Our boys were well taken care
of and if they failed to connect
with the generosity of the Oak-
wood people it was their own
fault

HELPING THE TOWNS
This article is not designed to
interest those who may read it
who have seen the effects of the
work of gospel teams in the
northwestern part of Oklahoma
car to) know that whervr a
got pel team has held a series of
meeting and organized a new
Lam there hat been a very no-
tice: ble change In th religious
atmosphere Not only is this
true in th matter of new con-
versions but in th Christian
eop! themselves It puts nw
life into th church peopl who
have grown cold and indifferent
as to the upbuilding of the king-
dom We will venture the assertion
that no town ever received the
bent fit from any service in pro-
portion to the amount necessary
for entertainment of the mem-
bers that it does from a series
of meetings by s Gospel Team
Experience will teach most peo-
ple this truth but it is s lament-
able fact that there are those
who will not acknowledge this
In this immediate vicinity you
may ask the people of Mutual
Vici Cestos Hackberry Moscow
and Oakwood what they think
of the movement So far as we
are concerned we know what the
answer will be Anything that
is good anything that has in it
the elements of evolution and ex-
pansion for a righteous cause
and the broadening of the relig-
ious mind is something that
ought to appeal to all the people
in a civilized nation - Of cauree
it helps the town— and commu-
nity as well
