Church as Strong Now as
Ever Before ‘
Tbe Bone Must Be Its Soorce of Growth
Says Critic
I think that tbe Christian church
is as strong now as it has ever been
but it ought to grow in comparison
with the increasing population
says a woman writer in Tbe De-
I ineater for Janurary in comment-
ing on "What’s the Matter with
the Churches?1 Why does it not?
We are not sufficiently devout
But we must begin at the founda-
tion and what is that?
It is the Christian home which
must be the constant foundation of
the church If the children do
not receive the true Christian
trailing at home the church means
nothing to them If the parents
are religious only lacking in the
fine principles of honor integrity -and
tbe Golden Rule the child be-
comes quickly conscious of it and
wants none of tbeir religion or -church
If we would have the Christian
church a continuous power for
good we must educate the child to
become a true Christian parent
