FORUM RESOLUTIONS
Urge Legislation to Conserve
Grain Supply of Country
The following resolutions have
been passed and given out for
publication by the Methodist
Forum of this city:
Duncan Okla May 4 1917
Whereas believing as we do
that the use of millions of bush-
els of grain and other articles Of
food in ' the manufacture of in-
toxicating liquors ‘ is not only a
vicious and unnecessary evil in
times of peace but a positive
menace to a I hungry starving
people in the present world’s
war therefore 1
' ' Be it resolved by this Forum:
That the use of grain and other
articles of food in the manufac-
ture of intoxicating liquors be
prohibited by the National Gov-
ernment ’ - - - i
- Be it further resolved: That
it is the sense of this Forum that
the Senators and Congressman
from Oklahoma use their influ-
ence to secure the passage of a
law that will prohibit the use of
grain and other articles of food
in the manufacture of intoxicat-
ing liquors especially during the
iod of the war

Then again you should become
a Christian for Christ’s sake
You should give Him your influ-
ence People who openly say
there is no God do not hurt the
church and Christ as much as
those who say the church is a
good organization and that there
is a God and that Jesus Christ is
His son You may claim you
do anything but if you
will study the lives of Christian
men and women you will find out I you m way
you can do something What
would you think a cursing tinker
could do for Christ? Yet the
Master saw in John Bunyan a
man whose written and oral mes-
sages would be the cause of many
thousands being saved ‘
these conditions are changed im-
mediately
School boards should under no
condition agree to employ strang-
ers as teachers without first con-
ferring with the county superin-
tendent and having a full state-
ment from the county superin-1
tendent of the county where the
teacher last taught A little care

— I Hair that loses Its color and lustre or
when it fades turns gray dull and life-
less is caused- by a lack of sulphur in
the hair Our grandmother made up a
mixture of 6age Tea and Sulphur to
beep her locks dark and beautiful and
thousands of women and men who value
that even color that beautiful dark
shade of hair which is so attractive use
only this old-time recipe 9
Nowadays we get this famous mixture
improved try the addition of other ingredi-
ents by asking at any drug store for a 50-
cent bottle of “Wyeth’s Sage and Sul-
£hur Compound” which darkens the
sir so naturally so evenly that nobody
can possibly tell it has been applied You
juBt dampen a sponge or soft brush with
t and draw this through your hair tak-
ing one small strand at a time By mom-
I ing the gray bair disappears but what
delights the ladles with Wyeth’s Sage and
Sulphur Compound ia that besides beau-
tifully darkening the bair after a few
applications it also brings back the gloss
and lustre and gives it an appearance
of abundance
Wyeth’s Sage and Sulphur Compound
is a delightful toilet requisite to impart

Hi
SUFFERING CATS!
GIVE THIS MAN
THE GOLD MEDAL
Let folks step on your feet hereafter'
wear shoes a size smaller If you like
for corns will never again send electric
sparks of pain through you according
to this Cincinnati authority
He says that a few drops of a drug
called freezone applied directly upon
a tender aching com instantly re-
lieves soreness and soon the entire
corn root and all lifts right out
This drug is a sticky fether compound
but dries at once and simply shrivels
up the com without inflaming or even
irritating the surrounding tissue
It is claimed that a quarter of an
ounce of freezone obtained at any drug
store will cost very little but is suffi-
cient to remove every hard or soft corn
or callus from one’s feet Cut this out
especially if you are a woman reader
who wears high heels
“Tix” makes sore burning tired feet
fairly dance with delight Away go the
aobes and pains the corns callouses
blisters bunions and chilblains '
“Tia” draws out the acids and poisons
that puff up your feet Ho matter how
hard yon work how long you dance how
far you walk or how long you remain
on your feet “Tiz” brings restful foot
comfort “Tiz” is magical grand won-
derful for tired aching swollen smart-
ing feet Ah! bow comfortable how
happy you feel Your feet just tingle
for joy shoes nearer hurt or seem tight
