Whs Will It Bo?
Who will have the cleanest and
the most beatifulyard in this town
this summer? Will it be you?
And whose yard will be the dirt-
iest? Will it be the other fellows?
We are far from a slovenly people
we may even take- pride in much
that we do but yet there is great
opportunity for improvement in
many ways Many a man admires
his neighbors yard but just nat-
urally forgets to spend any time
in the improvement of his own
apparently oblivious to the sur
roundings of the place he calls
home Let’s start the guessing
fellows as to who will have the
cleanest and the dirtiest yard this
summer It will stir up a little
friendly rivalry that will work
wonders in the appearance of our
town r v

American’s attention to something
that would greatly help out and
beautify Afton’s surroundings
Judge Tucker suggests that we
get together and plant trees on
both sides of the road leading out
to the cemetery This is an ex-
cellent suggestion and if the trees
were planted now and properly
tended future generations would
call us blessed What can we do
about it? x
