300 BUSHELS OF TOMATOES
J T White who lives at Turkey
Ford about fourteen miles southeast
of Falrland was here Wednesday
with a fine load of tomatoes which
he brought here to market He has
one and two-thirds acres In tomatoes
on which he has 7000 plants He es-
timates that the total yield will be
three hundred bushels Figuring the
fancy prices that Mr White obtained
for hiB early tomatoes it is safe to
say that he will receive something
like 3400 for his crop This shows
how well It pays to diversify and raise
something besides corn ‘
Mr White said hiB neighborhood
was blessed with a fine rain Sunday
which put CowBkin river past fording
and which has been a great help to
crops He said that the wheat crop
this year was the best ever grown on
the Cowskln prairie and that the
corn crop would be the best one with-
in the past two or three seasons
He said it would make from a half tty
two-thirds of a crop — Falrland News
