By virtue of the authority vested
in me by the constitution and laws of
the State of Oklahoma and pursuant
to an ordinance duly passed by the
Board of Trustees of the Town of
Afton in the County of Ottawa and
State of Oklahoma at an adjourned
meeting thereof held on the 23rd day
of October A D 1911 public notice
is hereby given that a special elect-
ion is hereby ordered and proclaimed
to be held in Baid town of Afton on
the 14th day of November A D 1911
lor the purpose of submitting to the
qualified property tax-paying voters of
said town the several propositions
of Usulng - the negotiable coupon
bonds of the Town of Afton Okla-
homa to the amounts and for
the purpose respectively as fol-
lows to the amount of $11000
for the construction of additions ex-
tensions and repairs to a system of
water works and $9000 for the con-
struction of additions extensions
and repairs to an electric lighting
plant in and for said ( Town and of
levying and collecting an annual tax
sufficient to pay the interest on said
bonds when due and also to consti-
tute a sinking fund for the payment
of the principal thereof within
twenty-five years from their date
Said election will be held at the
following polling places in said Town
In Precinct No 1 at Chanley Scale
Office on Frisco Right of way on
North Main Street
In Precinct No 4 at Kelley Barn
at South East Corner of Elm Avenue
and South First Street
In Precinct No 2 at City Hall on

providing funds for the construction
of additions extensions and re-
pairs to a system of water works
in and to be owned exclusively by
said town and levy' and collect
an annual tax upon all of the tax-
able property in said town sufficient
to pay the interest on said bonds
as it falls due and also to constl-
tute a sinking fund for the payment
of the principal thereof within
twenty-five years from their date

1st 1911 to become due and pay-

at a rate not to exceed six per
