Like the new tailored suit
or separate skirt the new
petticoats obey fashion to the
very last phrase and they do
it very willingly for even n
petticoat longs for the nar-
row graceful lines now the
vogue. Another interesting
feature is the attractive ruf-
fle or tucking which adorns
each slender model. In ad-
dition to the approved suit
shades there are numbers of
changeable effects tpiite
wonderful. In the finer
sorts there are embroidered
and richly colored and fig-
ured flounces. $5.00 to $25.

The Saturday Before Easter Promises
to be a Gala Day in the Third Floor Shop
Taffeta dresses there are so charming thiit
they have dispensed with trimmings unless it be
a narrow helt. Gorgeous foulards are also in the
displays perhaps it is better not to use "gorge-
ous" for the term is scarcely applicable in a gar-
ment for 8 to 16 to wear; yet they are fanciful
quite beautiful and the makers have seen to it
that they retain the naive simple charm of youth.
Speaking of simplicity reminds us of an old rose
and blue taffeta dress adorned merely in stitch-
ing. Another is a combination of taffeta and ex-
Miiisite georgette the sleeves being of Georgette.
You will note the quaint ruffled pockets with their
pendants and the sash with its charming bow.
Indeed the variety ha been brought to the Easter
of completeness $39.75 to $42.50.
Just a glance at the
displays will reveal that'
Himebody has been think-
ing about boys' clothes
and then translating the
thoughts into deeds. For-
merly to he a boy meant
to be a sort of sartorial
waif to wear "just any-
thing" especially if it
was awkward and
gawky. Inspired manu-
facturers and designers
saw the possibilities in
Hoys' Clothes a few years
ago and now in some
stores at least there are
appropriate clothes for
them boyish clothes!
The materials are cotton poplins ginghams dimities ehambrays ami
kindergarten cloths in middy Oliver Twist' blouse styles and so forth. Plain col-
ors including tan blue white and gray; then stripes and checks and combina-
tions such as white blouses with gray pants and so on. Come to think of it
the stylea are exceedingly attractive really different Hot to pay "cute." All
thoroughly washable. $1.95 $2.50 $3.50 $3.95 $4.50 $5 $6.50 to $9.95.
