REPUBLICANS IN COUNTY CON-

DELEGATES TO GO TO TULSA.
Oklahoma City Feb. S. Itf public-
an county conventions were held
throughout Oklahoma today for the
selecticn of delegates to the state
convention that will be heid in Tulsa
next Thursday. Tho call of State
Chairman Geisslor authorizes the
county representations to be the
same as for the last state convention
held in 11U2 which is a total of
about 000. '
The work of the state convention
will be preliminary to the state
campaign and will be followed by
another convention probably to be
called for Oklahoma City early in
June to suggest a complete repub-
lican state ticket in the August pri-
mary election. Although some at-
tempt may be made to get into this
work at Tulsa the leaders are not i.-i
sympathy with the idea '
There will he sunmittcd the na-
tional republican committee's plan
governing the representation from
the states in national gatherings and
the convention will be asked to ap-
prove it. The plans were expla'not'
in detail at the state committee
meeting held in Oklahoma City sev-
eral weeks ago by National Commit-
teeman Harris. The convention will
also adopt resolutions bearing on tin j
party's procedure throughout t lie j
campaign year. County com- litem? ;

state convention will ratify their
selection.
Another feature of the state con-
vent lcn will be the election of a
state chairman. Chairman deissler
announced in his call that the par-

if the convention so desired. Pres-
ent indications are that (ieissler
will be re-elected.
It is certain that some of the del-
