Two deaths have oceu.red here
early this week. On Monday. Mrs.
Clara J. Bello, mother of Howard
Pearse. died of a heart attack at
] his home. She had been ill for
about three weeks and was being
cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Pearse.
Services w it be held Thursday in
the Davis Funeral chapel at Ok-
mulgee. with burial in the Okmul-
gee cemetery.
Other survivors include two
grandchildren, two great-grandchil-
dren and a sister. Our sincere sy m-
pathy to the family. • • •
A second death was that of Paula
Louise Howell, nine-month old
daught.-i of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin
Howell. She died Tuesday afternoon
of pneumonia after a short illness.
Other survivors include seven
brothers and six sisters. Funeral
services were held Wednesday af-
ternoon and burial was in the Duck
Creek cemetery. * • •
Mrs. Helen Varcne Stewart of
Oklahoma City, who was killed
Thursday afternoon in an automo-
bile accident near Oklahoma City,
was the former Helen Crider of
Mounds. A sister, Mrs. Mable Witt,
and brother. Bruce Crider, loth of
Mound*, were among those who
attended funeral services on Mon-
