KIEFFR vs. OKMULGEE.
Kiefer Looses a Well Flay-
ed Game.
Okmulgee defeated the Kiefer
boys here last Sunday before the lar-
gest crowd of the season., but we
have no cause to worry as Sunday’s
game proved that we have a fast team,
and all through the game Kiefer
played a better game than the
“Mugs”
The “Mugs” pitched their £10,-
000 beauty, Grady, against our new
pitcher, “Slim” Wells, and Wells
pitched as pretty a game as has been
seen lately, and the batiing iverage of
the “Mugs” looked mighty dim after
the contest. F?ach member of the
Kiefer team played a brilliant game,
especially Rumney, Grogan and
George. However, each member
deserves great credit for their fine
work and will pull hard for one of the
best teams in the Red River League.
Okmulgee came strong in a special
train with about 300 rooters. The
score was 3 to 2 in favor of Ok-
mulgee.
