At Sportsmen's Park in
this city yesterday the Okla-
homa City base ball team
defeated Wichita by a score
of 11 to 7.
Up until the sixth inning
the score stood 9 to 1 in favor
of Oklahoma City, when
Wichita run in six scores.
Jack Root who pitched un-
til the sixth inning weakened
and was relieved by Bemis
who allowed the visitors but
one hit during the remaining
three innings.
The game was won by the
locals by continuous hitting,
clever base stealing and faster
playing than the visitors, as
errors and long hits were very
frequent during the entire
game.
