garden in the world. The grent pink
and red rosea show up remarkably
well, while the blue* and the purple

as natural looking. In some of the

"Krenchy." Edged with lace, these
cretonnes make the daintiest of por-
tieres and mantel draperies, to any
nothing of couch cushions. For bed-
room furnishing in a summer cottage
they arc ideal, for they harmonise
beautifully withthebrassandenameled
bedsteads ami the light tinted furni-
ture that commands special attention
at this season of the year.
To further carry out the idea of com-
pleteness ami harmony in furnishings,
waste baskets and Hewing baskets art-

In the housekeeper's realm, new in-
ventions ami device* are constantly
brought to the front and clever, per-
suasive "demonstrators" endeavor to
impress visitors to the big shops With
the merits and desirable features of
the new inventions, tine of these nov-
elties is a combined condensed milk
can opener and holder. The contriv-
ance is made of nickel and. consequent-
ly, vv;11 not tarnish. The milk can is
slipped inside and by pressing the top
of the holder at a designated point
the cover of the can ii < pened sutli-
ciently to permit the milk to flow into
a spout resembling that of a syrup
jug. protected in a similar way by a
lid and operated in a similar manner.
The ordinary tin bread or cake box
is not the best kind of a receptacle
for the family supply of breadstuff and
cake because when it is tichtly closed
all ventilation is shut off and the con-
tents, bread especially, become sog-
gy. There is a ventilated bread box on
the market the only mie of its kind,
according to the shop folks and the
ventilated portion consists of an oval
section, a little over an inch long, punc-
tured w ;vh a half do/en or so pin holes
The perforated box c<v*ts about as
much and a half as the unventilatcd
receptacle
All sorts of cooking utcnsiU are to
be had in nickel and the saucepan* of
various sizes, the kettles and frying
apparatus, make a brilliant array.
Nickelware, however, costs a little
men than some other varieties

The interior department has denied
the petition of D. A. Haworth, a Cher-
okee citizen living near Tulsa, to lease
his lands to a nursery company which
was to plant and cultivate 10,000 peach
trees, the company receiving pay from
the proceeds of the orchard for a term
of years. The department bases the
refusal upon the lack of precedent in
such matters. The action practically
limits the planting of the orchard in
the Cherokee uation to.the resources
of individuals, and will circumscribe
the orchard area for some time to
come. The effect is far reaching, In
as much as many Indians wanting to
engage in fruit growing are unable to
do so on account of the lack of money,
but who would, if permitted, contract
with capitalists for the planting of
thousands of acres of trees at once.
Under the decision, fruit growing on a
large scale is at a standstill.

Heavy eating is usually the first
cause of indigestion. Repeated attacks
inflame the raucous membranes lining
the stomach, exposes the nerves of the
stomach, producing a swelling after
eating, heartburn, headache, sour ris-
ings and finally catarrh of the stomach.
Kodol relieves the inflammation, pro-
tects the nerves and cures the catarrh.
Kodol cures indigestion, dyspepsia,
all stomach troubles by elcanaing and
sweetening the glands of the stomach.

Wrinkles!
As we grow older the oil in the sys-
tem diminishes and does not furnish
the skin with the proper amount of
nourishment and wherever the surface
is exposed to the air, as the face, neck
and hands the wrinkles appear first,
and if not nourished or fed they will
increase rapidly. Bun sen's Catarrh
Cure will replace the oil, renew the de-
cayed tissues and make the face, neck
and hands look fresh and youthful.
