The Building Trades
TRADE NEWS.
The proposition to incorporate Hin-
ton, 0. T., was carried by vote of G4
to 2G. *
S. H. Hanson, of Oklahomi Citv,
agent for the Hydraulic Pressed Brick
company, of Kansas City, secured the
order for the pressed brick for the
trimming of the new Lawton Hotel.
The Capital Iron Works Co., of To-
peka, Kan., through their agent, S. H.
Hanson, have secured the contract for
the structural iron work for the dome
of the new Baptist Temple at Okla-
homa City.
The Tulsa-Redfork Brick company,
of Tulsa, through their agent, S. H.
Hanson, of Oklahoma City, sold 80,00'J
brick for the new building for Jen-
kins & Sons Music Co. and 50,000
brick for the new Eberle building.
The Mineral and Mining Co., of Paw-
nee, will hold a stockholders meetin?
in that citv July 27, at 3 p. m., in the
offices of Shoemaker, Catlett & Broad-
dus, for the purpose of electing direc-
tors.
The Henry Wgis Cornice company,
of Kansas City, through their agent,
S. H. Hanson, of Oklahoma City, have
secured the contract for the fire proof
windows for the new Pioneer Tele-
phone & Telegraph Co., building.
The American 3-Way Prism com-
pany, Philadelphia, through its agent,
S. H. Hanson, have secured the con-
tract for the prism glass to be used
In the new Zeigler building in Okla-
homa City.
The Johnson Corrugated Steel Bar,
manufactured by the St. Louis Ex-
panded Metal Fireproofing company,
will be used in the new building for
the Alexander Drug Co. The business
was secured by S. H. Hanson, of Ok-
lahoma City.
Jasper Sipes, of Oklahoma City, has
secured the contract for the furniture
for three of the new ward school
buildings at Muskogee. He also secur-
ed the contract for the furniture for
the new Baptist church at Bartles-
ville.
The Oklahoma Tile & Mantel Co., of
Oklahoma City, J. A. Harding, Mgr.,
have secured the contract for the Art
Mosaic Vestibule and glazed tile
wainscot'ng and cornice for the new of-
fice building of the Pioneer Telephone &
Telegraph Co., at Enid. This firm has
also secured the contract for a hand-
some tile floor for the Noble State
Bank at Noble, Okla.
Weeks Bros., of Ardmore I. T., se-
cured the contract for the plumbing
and installing the steam plant for the
I. O. O. F. home at Checotah, contract
is for $3,900.
The Southwestern Iron Company of
Guthrie, has secured the contract for
the power plant for the new Pioneer
cotton mill.
R. F. King and N. A. Parker of Mus-
kogee have opened an office at Ada,
having secured the contract to furnish
ties and timber for the Oklahoma Cen-
tral railroad.
The Oklahoma Granite Company of
Granite, O. T„ are adding a polishing
machine to their plant. R. C. Bennett,
the manager, reports excellent busi-
ness, and that they have just secured
the contract for the granite for the
new Presbyterian church at King-
fisher .
Bass & Harbour Furniture and Car-
pet company of Oklahoma City have
just received a full car load of ma-
terials.
Miler-Tooey Tin and Wooden Ware
Co., have just orened a sample room in
which they are displaying a full line of
samples of their stock. While it Is a
large room it is crowded full. A glance
over its shelves and cases gives an
idea of the immense variety of goods
carried by this house.
Shawnee, O. T.—Special—The Shaw-
nee Planing Mill company are build-
ing an addition to the plant 80x86
feet, to be used to house new ma-
chinery and for storage purposes.
G. W. Taylor & Co., of Oklahoma
Citv, have secured the contract for
a tile floor and marble counter for
the new building of the Washita Val-
ley Bank, at Fort Cobb.
Dudley Gresham, of El Reno, has
secured the contract to erect the new
buildinsr for the Citizens Bank, of Min-
co., I. T.
H. W. Harris, of El Reno, has se-
cured the contract to install the heat-
ing plant for the new school building
at Eldorado.
BARTLETT STEEL COMPANY.
The Bartlett Steel Co., of Joplin,
Mo., have just issued a very handsoire
new catalogue of fifty-five pages, con-
veniently arranged for ready refer-
ence. In steel shapes, such as I beams,
channels, and angles, it contains dia-
grams showing the section and giving
the measurements as well as the
weights. Pages eight to sixteen con-
tain carefully prepared tables showing
the safe loads for beams and channels
of each size. Tne balance of the cata-
loge is devoted to columns, roor
trusses, girders, steel lintels, water
towers and tanks, bridges, stairs,
gratings, fire escapes, window guards
and wrough iron grille work, In fact
everything and anything made of iron
or steel and used in construction.

will find it helpful.
BUSINESS BLOCKS.
ANOTHER STRONG
HOUSE FOR OKLAHOMA CITY.
The Enders company, is a new cor-
poration locating in Oklahoma City.
They will handle a complete line ot
house and office furniture, carpets,
rugs, mattings, window shades, and
wood, brick and tile mantels. Tem-
porary quarters have been secured
at 206 West Second street, until the
completion of the new Zeiglar building
at 221 and 223 West Grand. They have
leased the entire building three stories
and basement, 50x140 feet, and expect
to fill it full of their new stock.
Ardmore—Reported—H. F Sims will
erect at once a two-story brick build-
ing, 25x100 feet. The building will be
modern in every respect.
Blackwell, O. T.—Special—J. W.
Beatty and J. F. Hodson will erect a
double brick business building.
Blackwell, O. T.—Special—C. R. Ogg
and C. E. Foudray will at once erect
a double brick business building.
Blackwell, O. T.—Special—J. L.
Waite, N. D. Kistler and F. M. Lef-
forge will erect a double brick busi-
ness building.
Bartlesville, I. T.—Special—Wm.
Johnstone and associates are contem-
plating the erection of a store and of-
fice building, 50x110 feet, three stories,
brick and stone, steel, plate glass,
metal ceiling, gravel roofing, electric
and gas lighting, closets and lavatory.
Claremore—Reported—L. P. Grims-
ley has purchased property and will
erect a modern building.
Claremore—Reported—A. L. Kates
has purchased additional property and
will erect a building 40x100 feet.
Comanche—Reported—J. B. Leach
will erect a two story building, 50x100
feet. The upper story will be fitted as
an opera house.
Clinton—Special—Architects Turby-
fiill & Mohr, Oklahoma City, will pre-
pare plans for Carroll, Brough & Rob-
inson for a warehouse, 30x11 feet, 2
stories, brick, stone vault, concrete
floors, gravel roof, varnish, hard plas.
