ous proportions, with high back, high
ends and broud. low seat. A frame of
woodwork following tho outline of the
divan, but much higher, is mad>>, in-
closing Uie backs and ends. Plate-
flaia mirrors are .set in the back of
this frame, just above the top of the
divan. This mirror border should be
at least eight indies wide. Above the
mirror is a book shelf extending the
length of the back and around the e^da
of the "corner.' The frame of the
corner is stained and decorated or
carved, according to tho skill or the
means of the owner. A rather odd
desk that might appropriately be
called the "Siamese twins" is practi-
cally two desks in one. The ends are
broad, tlat pieces of wood, with round-
ed tops. Between these two section?
