In a great fire In New York yesterday,
sent out by the despatches, the law office
of Allon Caruthers and Volney Hoggett,
formerly of this city, was completely de- j
stroyed. Mr. Caruthers received the fol-
lowing telegram from M?. TToggatt today:
Now, York. Dec. 4:—Allen Caruthers.
Guthrie, Ok.—Our offices completely de-
stroyed by fire last night —Volney Hog-

Mr. Caruthers being seen this city said
that they lost about six or seven thous-
and dollars, as they had nearly three
thousand volumes of law hooks and office
furnishings for four rooms, in the itttoe

chased at the expense of about 13000.
