This session of the court has been
somewhat noted, because of the re-
moval from office of United States
Attorney Boardman, while on duty
upon charges of undue activity in
elections and instructions to election
judges. Friday night, Mr. Boardman
ceased to be United States attorney,
and Judge Cotteral appointed ,Mr.
Isaac D. Taylor as temporary attor-
ney, until the vacancy is filled by ap-
pointment. Mr. Taylor's home is at
Pawhuska, but he has been at Guth-
rie foi some time assisting the United
States attorney.
Another matter of considerable
note at this term of court were the
indictments found against prominent
citizens of Osage county and members
of the Osage tribe in connection with
a lease made to the Uncle Sam Oil
company, and which the department
of interior set aside.
I There has been a larger attendance
1 on the court and grand jury than any
previous session of the court. The
