the government contractor at Fort
Sill, is in the city today. In an inter-
view he stated that a number of
capitalists from the east who are
putting in a large amount of electric
line in and out of Fort Worth are
expected iu Lawton sometime this
week to look over the situation regard-
ing the construction of the Fort Sill
and Wichita mountain electrio line.
They come here at the request of Mr.
Mitchell who will show them over the
proposed linp and point out the
'advantagr-s of the road. It is his
opinion that thpy will tave hold of tho
proposition and punb i to a speedy
completion. This lin^ .. in a short
time be one of the best paying invest-
ments a man can get. because in tho
very near future Fort Sill is to becomc
an important post as is evidenced by
the manner in which the war depart-
ment is proceeding.
No one can doubt that the depart-
ment intends to make Fort Sill a
regular army maneuvering post. When
this is done the electric line will "coin'1
money.
Parsley was appointed as special
referee in this case by the court. The
liabilities are $12,000 and the assets
are scheduled as being 922,000, of
