Committed Suicide.
Fred McGrew, committed suicide,
Saturday night at tin residence of
the widow Parker, in the Flat, west
of the city. He was drunk in the
afternoon and went home in that
condition. He shot himself about
eight o'clock in the evening and
the indications are that he lived
until two o.clock, the next morning.
He was found with his body partly
in the door of a corn crib, and after
the shot was fired Mrs. Parker went
out and found him in that posi-
tion but thought liiin dead drunk.
The ball went in under the left jaw
and ranged upward.
The Sanitarium.
The Sanitarium company have
accepted Norman's offer of the old
college building with ten acres of
land and an additional forty acres
adjoining, and will locate their in-
stitution there. It is estimated
that this property is worth at least
The company will at once
erect a large addition, 40x100, three
stories with a basement, which will
give them accomodations for 200
patients. The capital stock of the
company has been placed at $50,
(XXI and they have a very profitable
contract from the Territory to care
for the Iinsane now being cared
for at Jacksonville, 111. The com-
pany also have promise of some
patients from Texas and the Indian
Territory-. This is 1111 institution
that Oklahoma City should have
secured when the opportunity off-
ered, but next to Oklahoma city,
the Oklahoman is glad it went to
our neighbor on the south. Okla-

office, on Saturday, April 20th, for
the purpose of organizing to hold

views as to time of holding etc.
