Jacob Lorg of Carlisle township,
returned last Sunday after a seven
weeks visit to his old home in Potta-

Postmaster Hoggs of Shawnee has
been indicted by the United States
grand jury for carelessness in hand-
ling the United States mails. A reg-
istered letter was traced to the Shaw-
nee office containing $500. After
several weeks time the missing letter
was found In the Shawnee office where
it had been carelessly mislaid.

Bert Tilton, a brother-in-law of R.
C. Dobbs of this city, while repairing
a wind mill near Belie Plaitie, Kas.,
last Monday, was caught in the mill
and killed. He was a young man
about 24 years of age and had been
married about two years. His par-
ents reside near Oxford, Kas., where
he was hurried last Thursday.
